Once children have received their First Communion, and completed Levels 4 and 5 of our Be my Disciples program (previously called Faith First), they are ready for their Confirmation Preparation classes in Level 6. It is through confirmation that we receive the Holy Spirit, as we confirm our desire to be Catholic and our commitment to live as a Christian with faith, love and service to one another.
Sacramental Preparation Confirmation classes 2024 held at the church Françoise Cabrini 210 rue de l’Église Rosemère QC. Mondays and Thursdays
Prerequisites: Children registering for this class must be in 5th or 6th grade or older and have completed 2 years of Religious education program( be my disciples) level 4 and level 5.
The sacramental preparation course for Confirmation consists of :
Child sessions: There are 8 classes for your child from January to May inclusively held at the rectory upstairs at Françoise Cabrini church in Rosemère. Your child will be expected to attend all classes, prepared to listen, learn and participate.This will require assistance from home, homework to be completed, prayers to be learned, etc… Your child will receive a paper book and a Bible.
Parent sessions: One parent will be expected to attend the welcoming meeting on Zoom and the 3 parent meetings which will take place at Françoise Cabrini church on a Saturday morning.
Church attendance: Children enrolled in this program will also be expected to attend Mass with their family twice a month for a minimum of 10 masses and have their book stamped after mass.
Attendance is mandatory under normal circumstances.
Confirmation Ceremony: Will be held at St-Maurice Church (388 , boul Adolphe Chapleau, Bois des Filion). Students should wear their ‘’Sunday Best’’ for the ceremony.
The above commitment will provide the child and their family with a meaningful understanding of the sacrament of Confirmation and promote spiritual development.

Attendance at all of these is mandatory.
Note that your child will only attend either Monday classes or Thursday classes
